What is CalSync?
CalSync is a service that reads the WhatsApp groups and chats you choose through a Chrome extension for WhatsApp Web, uses AI to pull out events, tasks and payments, sends a short summary twice a day and puts the events in Google Calendar by itself. No bot in the group, the messages themselves are never stored, and it is free forever for one group.
Do I need to add a bot or a number to the group?
No. CalSync reads the group through your own WhatsApp Web, on your computer. No number joins, nobody in the group gets a message or has to approve anything, and the group admin is not involved.
Can each child or project have its own calendar?
Yes. Every child, client or project gets its own Google Calendar in your account, and all of its groups and chats feed it by themselves. You can show or hide each calendar separately, and share it with your partner or your crew like any Google Calendar.
Why do I need Chrome on a computer?
WhatsApp does not let third-party apps read messages. The only way that respects your account is to read WhatsApp Web in your own tab, on a computer, through an extension. The tab can be hidden or pinned, and no chat needs to be opened.
Is it safe for my WhatsApp account?
The extension only reads and never sends anything. It does not link itself as an extra device. That said, this is not an official WhatsApp extension.
Does it work with English groups?
Extraction works in Hebrew and English. Summaries and calendar titles are written in Hebrew today; an English output option is on the way. If your groups are in Hebrew and you read English, it already works well for you.
What about iPhone?
CalSync works on iPhone as a Home Screen app: open calsyncai.com in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. From there you get notifications and summaries as usual. Reading from WhatsApp happens on the computer.
And Android?
There is an app on Google Play, and you can also add the site to your Home Screen from Chrome. Both get notifications.
What happens when WhatsApp Web changes?
It happens every few weeks. The extension notices, pauses, and tells you. We ship a fix through the Chrome Web Store and the extension updates itself.
How do I delete my account?
From the Profile page, in one tap. All data is deleted and the Google calendars created for you are removed. Details.
What about the privacy of other group members?
We do not store the messages themselves and we do not build profiles of people. Only the extracted item is kept (“party on Wednesday”), with the sender’s name as it appears in your chat, so you know who asked.
